30 Dec CHRIS 180 Hires Nonprofit Veteran for CFO Role
Nilda Diaz has been named Chief Financial Officer for CHRIS 180, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing trauma-informed mental health services for children, youth and families.
In her role, Diaz will oversee CHRIS 180’s finance, billing, information technology, facilities and maintenance teams. She will serve as a part of the strategic leadership team for CHRIS 180 and work closely with the CEO, the Chief Clinical Officer, the CHRIS Training Institute and our Board Finance Committee to continue the organization’s 41-year legacy of fiscal responsibility.
“Nilda is a results-oriented professional with demonstrated financial leadership and a track record of cross-functional success,” said Kathy Colbenson, LMFT, President and Chief Executive Officer of CHRIS 180. “Nilda’s experience provides her with an in-depth understanding of CHRIS 180’s unique role in the community, and the intricacies of managing diverse funding streams. She will be a great asset to CHRIS 180 as we continue to grow our impact and meet the needs of our community.”
Diaz has more than 20 years experience, both in for-profit and nonprofit spaces, ensuring financial accountability for several organizations. Most recently she served as the CFO at Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, a $70 million nonprofit dedicated to helping abused and neglected children.
Diaz started her finance career as an Accounts Payable Clerk at a healthcare union, and quickly moved up the ranks to Assistant Controller. She then became the Associate CFO at the Institute for Community Living, and Controller of Budget and Contracts at The Jewish Board.
