    Training Description:

    Military veterans, service members, and their families have been at the cutting edge of clinical conversations and research for years. With the longest war in American history still in motion there will be wave after wave of military veterans needing guidance, case management, and counseling in the years to come. This training is facilitated by Licensed Clinical Social Work & combat veteran and with this training you’ll be able to work with veterans in a variety of settings and understand their unique needs and experiences.

     

    Main Objectives:

      1. Participants will learn the unique experiences of each military generation.
      2. Participants will be able to discuss challenges faced by combat veterans suffering with TBI and PTSD.
      3. Participants will learn engagement strategies and techniques in order to engage and rapport effectively.

    Rob Collins, LCSW, LSSGB
    Rob Collins is an experienced mental health clinician, corporate trainer, team builder, and military combat veteran. Driven by innovation and research, he takes pride in providing excellent training experiences by staying ahead of the trends in training methods, didactics, and engagement strategies. With his license in Clinical Social Work and his Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement, Rob strikes a balance between engagement, entertainment, and effective training to bring about positive change in the workplace and community. During his tenure at the CHRIS Training Institute at CHRIS 180 in Atlanta, he has specialized in designing and the facilitation of seminars that analyze the intersectionality of authenticity and trauma-informed practice and has brought it to the realm of Virtual Engagement, Mental Health, LGTBQ+ Advocacy, Leadership, Management, and Team Building with Fulton County Board of Health, Dekalb County District Attorney’s Offices, Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and many more.
