The purpose of this training is to provide professionals with an in depth understanding of trauma and the impact of trauma across multiple domains of development and living. Participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and values needed to provide comprehensive trauma assessments, competency in using standardized trauma and dissociation assessment tools, providing differential diagnosis using DSM-5, completing written reports of assessment, and making trauma and resiliency-informed treatment recommendations.
Rob Collins, LCSW, LSSGB Rob Collins is an experienced mental health clinician, corporate trainer, team builder, and military combat veteran. Driven by innovation and research, he takes pride in providing excellent training experiences by staying ahead of the trends in training methods, didactics, and engagement strategies. With his license in Clinical Social Work and his Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement, Rob strikes a balance between engagement, entertainment, and effective training to bring about positive change in the workplace and community. During his tenure at the CHRIS Training Institute at CHRIS 180 in Atlanta, he has specialized in designing and the facilitation of seminars that analyze the intersectionality of authenticity and trauma-informed practice and has brought it to the realm of Virtual Engagement, Mental Health, LGTBQ+ Advocacy, Leadership, Management, and Team Building with Fulton County Board of Health, Dekalb County District Attorney’s Offices, Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and many more.
