Psychiatric Support
CHRIS 180’s psychiatric services provides holistic and collaborative care, designed to address the whole person with open communication between our patients and their dedicated team of psychiatric professionals.
Trauma-Informed Care
We utilize an evidence-based Trauma Informed Care model because we help our clients heal from trauma and provide the tools and strategies the need to move from surviving to thriving.
How do we define trauma?
Individual trauma results from an event, series of events, or sets of circumstances that are experienced by a person as physically or emotionally harmful or threatening and that have lasting adverse effects on the person’s physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being and ability to function.
What makes CHRIS 180 trauma informed?
Untreated trauma can result in physical illness, depression, poor school and work performance and many other issues. We utilize the evidence-based Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC) trauma framework for intervention with children, youth, adults, families and communities who have experienced one time, multiple or prolonged traumatic stress. ARC identifies three core domains that are frequently impacted and focuses on healing through building resiliency. ARC provides a theoretical framework, core principles of intervention, and a guiding structure for practitioners working with children, adults and families, while recognizing that a one-size model does not fit all. ARC is designed for people who experience trauma at any age. Each year, our trauma-informed programs help thousands get on the road to recovery.
