Rick Aranson, J.D., Chief Operating Officer

Rick Aranson, J.D., joined CHRIS 180 as the Chief Operating Officer in November 2024.  

Rick Aranson joined CHRIS 180 after more than five years with Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization. As Komen’s Senior Director of Mission Operations, he oversaw all operational initiatives for the mission department, including finance, legal, information technology, and business process improvement. In his prior role at Komen headquarters, Rick led the insourcing and development of Komen’s Patient Care Center, an integrated suite of community health services. 

A mission-driven executive leader with over 20 years of experience, he has guided, stewarded, and grown purpose-driven organizations. Before his tenure at Komen, Aranson served as the Chief Executive Officer of Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta. Throughout his career, he has maintained a steadfast commitment to mission and impact while applying business principles to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue. 

He is an alumnus of Leadership Atlanta and has been a grantee liaison for the United Way of Greater Atlanta. He has served on several Atlanta-based and national boards. Recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Who’s Who in Nonprofits,” Rick has also been published in the American Review of Public Administration. 

Aranson holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Emory University.
