VP of Community Based Mental Health
Katia Gilliam
Katia joined CHRIS 180 in 2021 as a therapist and has since served in several roles, including Operations Manager, Admissions Program Manager, and Operations Clinical Manager. She was promoted to Vice President of Community-Based Mental Health in 2026.
Katia is a licensed professional counselor in Georgia, a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from American International College in Massachusetts.
With more than 18 years of experience in the mental health and social services field, Katia has worked in a variety of settings, including community-based clinics, private practice, crisis intervention, schools, detention facilities, residential programs, and social services. Her experience includes clinical care, program and operations management, admissions, team leadership, clinical supervision, and developing and facilitating professional training.
Katia is passionate about strengthening mental health services, supporting clinicians, and helping expand access to quality, compassionate care for individuals and families throughout the communities CHRIS 180 serves.
Outside of work, Katia enjoys spending time with her husband and children and is very involved in her community. She coaches youth cheer, supports recreational football, enjoys traveling to tropical destinations, and loves relaxing at the beach.
