CHRIS180 serves over 86 elementary, middle and high schools including some charter and private in Atlanta with school-based counseling, training and resources. We help address a range of challenges for students including depression, anxiety, bullying and trauma. We also support teachers, school administrators, and parents.
Psychiatric Support
Holistic and collaborative care for the whole person
CHRIS180's psychiatric services provide holistic and collaborative care, designed to address the whole person with open communication between patients and their dedicated team of psychiatric professionals. If needed, CHRIS180 provides medication management services for its counseling clients.
Wraparound Services
Coordinated, holistic care for the whole family
Wraparound Services require a coordinated, integrated approach to care that addresses the full range of needs facing the children, youth, and families we serve. Through this model, CHRIS180 works alongside each family to connect them with the right combination of support to ensure consistent, holistic care.
Our Approach
Trauma-Informed Care
We utilize an evidence-based Trauma Informed Care model because we help our clients heal from trauma and provide the tools and strategies they need to move from surviving to thriving.
How do we define trauma?
Individual trauma results from an event, series of events, or sets of circumstances that are experienced as physically or emotionally harmful or threatening — and that have lasting adverse effects on a person's physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being.
What makes CHRIS180 trauma informed?
We use the evidence-based Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC) framework to support children, youth, adults, families, and communities. Instead of asking, "what's wrong with you?" we ask, "what happened to you?"
