For most, the holiday season can be considered the most wonderful time of the year. However, for others, it is often a time of stress, depression and grief. One thing we have in common is that as parents and caregivers, we want to celebrate the joy found in gift giving. There is nothing better than seeing a child open a beautifully wrapped present!
CHRIS 180 makes that magic come to life! While other nonprofit organizations provide gifts during the holiday season, our approach to gift giving is unique! We give parents and caregivers in our programs the opportunity to select the perfect present for their children through a special Amazon wish list, which allows them to shop in our holiday toy workshop where gifts are festively wrapped.
At our toy workshop, our staff and volunteers help parents make the perfect gift selections for their children. This approach gives our families dignity to be able to provide for their children this holiday season. All presents are neatly wrapped in seasonal paper and shiny bows on top.
We need your help in continuing our gift giving mission. Please consider buying a present or two from our Amazon holiday wish list. Together, we can deliver the most magical holiday for our youth and families.
Give the Gift of Time
We need helpers in the workshop to help wrap client gifts and are currently recruiting volunteers for the annual CHRIS 180 wrapping events taking place Monday, December 18 – Wednesday, December 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at our main office in East Atlanta. Participating in a wrapping party is a wonderful opportunity to spread holiday joy and mingle with fellow CHRIS 180 volunteers, while making dreams come true for our clients.
